Is there one 'pure' culture?
Isn't the history of humanity a continuous stream of give and take?
Actually I completely agree with you. When I was listening to the song I just thought it's interesting he said that, so I thought I'd put it on here--without commenting on it so as to be objective-- and see what others will say. But yes, I think its a beautiful thing to not restrict oneself to one culture, but rather adopt other cultural practices if you find them..."charming."
but yes, "give and take" is definitely the case.
